We kicked off the year with a trip to Disney World!

January 28, 2014

Liz and I went to Disney World around three weeks ago and Liz did an amazing job updating her blog with several posts with each park having its own post. I’m totally linking them below and giving her major credit.

  1. The Travels and our Hotel
  2. The Magic Kingdom
  3. Epcot
  4. Hollywood Studios
  5. Animal Kingdom

Since we might have several mutual readers, I have been thinking of how to write this post, without a too much of a similar layout. It has been hard. However, I decided to split the different parks up, but instead of doing it in several different posts, it’s all in one. In other words, be prepared for the longest post ever, with plenty of pictures from one of the best trips ever! I have also included plenty of links in case you would like to read even more about the parks/resort(s). Here we go:

Our Hotel
We stayed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Jambo House. We also got upgraded (have no idea why, but we were glad) to an amazing room with a view of the savannah.

Magic Kingdom
The Cinderella Castle, fireworks, the Space Mountain ride, the Haunted Mansion, and other rides. The 3D/4D-movies, Disney characters all over the park, and the Christmas decorations.

Epcot
Crazy and cool attractions, such as Soarin’ (where it feels like you’re flying over California) and Spaceship Earth (located in the big ball), beer in “Mexico”, amazing dinner in “France”…a little taste of Scandinavia in “Norway” with the ride, Maelstrom. Epcot has several countries represented along with educational and exciting rides.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Again, several attractions/rides, the museum about Walt Disney, 3D/4D-movies, our lunch at the old fashion “drive in movie” restaurant with the best milkshake ever, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, the American Idol Experience, and the Beauty and the Beast musical.

After four full days in the parks, we had a relaxing morning at our hotel, ordered room service, and enjoyed the last hours before our flight back to North Carolina.
