Motto

one day at a time

I think that this is one of my major mantras and mottos right now in my life.

one day at a time

If people ask me about things coming up several days ahead, I get stressed out, simply because I know how many things that are lying ahead of me that stresses me out. Therefore, it’s really important for me, at least nowadays, to just focus on the day it is. Another reason for this motto is, again, and I can’t stress it enough, to really live in the present and to make the best of it right then. Because that’s all we can do. We can’t change the past, and we don’t know for 100% about the future. But what we have is now. Just a little, but such an important (I think) thought I’d share with you all this Saturday ♥

Hope you’re having a great weekend!

I’m struggling with this right now. I’ve always been future-oriented. The person I am (sorta) involved with is happy just sitting still with how things are. We live 500 miles apart and we’ve not seen each other all year. They don’t want to commit on any level and I’ve been patient because they have many issues of their own, maybe more issues than me. So, I bounce between settling for the here and now to wanting there to be more. That’s not exactly what you’re saying here, but it just reminded me of it. 🙂 Overall, I understand you. I can plan for the future all day long, but then when it comes to predicting tomorrow I get anxious!

I believe there are so many people are having a really hard time dealing with the present moment, and the unknown might be scary or just makes us anxious since we don’t know what lies ahead of us. So I truly believe in working on to live more in the present time, because that’s all I can do, all I can work on, all I can change (if I have and/or need/want to). Thanks for sharing your thoughts and things in your life that you were reminded of when reading my post here <3

I am trying to live one moment each time, as fully as possible. You are absolutely correct, past is past and future is unknown so what we have now, each and every little “now” is precious and beautiful.
