Can’t believe it’s already December and has been for about a week! We are counting down the days here at home, and it’s only 11 days left until we’re heading to the States! So exciting to change environments for a while (almost 1 month!). But there has also been some good stuff the past week or two, which I would like to share with you all. Because in the midst of possible hard times, it is always good to focus on the things that are making your soul warm, and your heart to love even more.
So here we go:
I just love the way we have decorated our apartment this year. The new star in the kitchen, is making me smile almost every single time I see it. It’s such a warm light spread out in the whole kitchen. Love it.
One day I got a pretty funny message from “my little brother” (he’s not my biological brother, but almost..in our souls), and asked if he and his 6 months old cute daughter, L, could come for a visit. Of course. Who doesn’t want to snuggle with such a cutie! We were also wearing matching sweaters. How funny. I just wanna adopt her..
We headed, together with my parents, out for some Christmas markets on the First of Advent. It was freezing cold. We bought gifts, soaked up the Christmas feelings, and scents that were being provided basically everywhere. I also found Santa’s clothes, in case he’s asking for them at one point. I just realized I don’t have a picture from our annual Thanksgiving dinner. Oh, well. The day before First of Advent, we had a bunch of friends over for the celebration. A cozy evening filled with laughter, stories, music, food, and just wonderful friendship. How blessed am I?!
Then the snowstorm came to town..crazy, but it all turned out to be so beautiful. Suddenly the streets were all white instead of dark, wet, and gray. The evenings are brighter than they’ve been in a really long time, and all the trees are just gorgeous.
I couldn’t sleep very good the other night so after laying in bed awake for several hours, I decided to get up, light some candles, and entertain myself (read the paper, blogs). I also ended up making some coffee which I drank later on while watching the Christmas Calendar Show on TV.
That’s some of the good things I’ve been up to lately. Will update you all with my “December photo challenge”, tomorrow so check back then!
So long.
