January 2014

We kicked off the year with a trip to Disney World!

January 28, 2014

Liz and I went to Disney World around three weeks ago and Liz did an amazing job updating her blog with several posts with each park having its own post. I’m totally linking them below and giving her major credit.

  1. The Travels and our Hotel
  2. The Magic Kingdom
  3. Epcot
  4. Hollywood Studios
  5. Animal Kingdom

Since we might have several mutual readers, I have been thinking of how to write this post, without a too much of a similar layout. It has been hard. However, I decided to split the different parks up, but instead of doing it in several different posts, it’s all in one. In other words, be prepared for the longest post ever, with plenty of pictures from one of the best trips ever! I have also included plenty of links in case you would like to read even more about the parks/resort(s). Here we go:

Our Hotel
We stayed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Jambo House. We also got upgraded (have no idea why, but we were glad) to an amazing room with a view of the savannah.

Magic Kingdom
The Cinderella Castle, fireworks, the Space Mountain ride, the Haunted Mansion, and other rides. The 3D/4D-movies, Disney characters all over the park, and the Christmas decorations.

Epcot
Crazy and cool attractions, such as Soarin’ (where it feels like you’re flying over California) and Spaceship Earth (located in the big ball), beer in “Mexico”, amazing dinner in “France”…a little taste of Scandinavia in “Norway” with the ride, Maelstrom. Epcot has several countries represented along with educational and exciting rides.

Again, several attractions/rides, the museum about Walt Disney, 3D/4D-movies, our lunch at the old fashion “drive in movie” restaurant with the best milkshake ever, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, the American Idol Experience, and the Beauty and the Beast musical.

After four full days in the parks, we had a relaxing morning at our hotel, ordered room service, and enjoyed the last hours before our flight back to North Carolina.

So many great new memories together with my love, and so many more to come ♥

It’s been a bit quiet here…

January 12, 2014

BUT, I’ve have been able to check one of the things on my bucket list – to go to Disney World in Florida. Yep, that’s right! Liz and I flew down a week ago and came back to North Carolina Friday evening. It’s been a blast, and i truly enjoyed it, it was so much fun! I’m planning on posting plenty of pictures here, but as of right now we have a friend (one of Liz’s blog friends) here visiting, so we’re entertaining ourselves with various adventures here in the mountains. I’m going back to school tomorrow, and will hopefully take some time to post the pictures from our trip in the next few days! Just a little update here on what’s going on!

Thanks for keep checking in here even though it’s been quiet here..

New Years Eve in Atlanta, part II

January 4, 2014

Here comes part two and the last one of the little series of our New Years Eve celebrations! You can find part I, here. We took the metro to a pub and started off there with a third couple, drinking beer and eating dinner. Afterwards we headed to Midtown and a party we had bought tickets to. We had a blast with great company, music, champagne at midnight, and dancing!

New Years Eve in Atlanta, part I

January 3, 2014

Liz and I went to Atlanta, Georgia, as I mentioned in the last post, on New Year’s Eve to celebrate with some friends! There are so many pictures to share with you all, so I have divided them up in two posts instead. Here comes part one!

We headed to the area “Five Points” where they have vintage stores, record stores, funky cafes, and a great pub called, “The Porter Beer Bar”, where we made a stop. I also finally found a great/perfect oversized jeans jacket, which I’ve been looking after, for a long time. Yes. It was all a great start of our New Years celebrations! More to come in the next post!

Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great New Years Eve. Liz and I went to Atlanta in Georgia and celebrated together with some friends. We had a blast, but I will tell, and show you more about that in the next post.

It’s snowing here in Asheville tonight and this is what it looks like. So pretty.
